The coating industry trend on 2022

This year, the weaken real estate market, the high price of raw material, the repeatedly national epidemic, are the three main mountains under the coating industry. It is expected that next year, the situation will be improved, which will benefit the entire coating industry.

Affected by the bad sales of house and epidemic, China's coating market has remained weak since 2022.

According to the data, the total output of China's coating industry from January to August 2022 is about 22.597 million tons, The total revenue from main businesses was about 289.76 billion yuan, down 2.0% year on year; The total profit was about 14.11 billion yuan, down 26.0% year on year.

The construction coating industry is obviously influenced by the real estate industry. According to the statistics of the Bureau of Statistics, from January to November 2022, the construction area of real estate development enterprises will be 8968570000 square meters, down 6.5% year on year. Among them, the residential construction area was 6339.16 million square meters, down 6.7%. The newly started housing area was 1116.32 million square meters, down 38.9%. Influenced by the downtrend of the real estate market, some institutions predict that the scale of the whole building coating market will decline by more than 20% in 2022.

It is said that more than 60% of the demand for architectural coatings comes from house decoration. The retail market of traditional decorative coatings has entered the adjustment period due to the decline of demand in the post real estate cycle and the impact of channel structure.

From the whole coating industry market, the demand is weakened because of the housing market, how to change and improve the situation, that is a significant problem which are facing all the enterprises.
